Silicone Rubber is ideal for high and low-temperature applications.
Electrical properties are excellent and resistance to weathering and
ozone attack is outstanding. It is not resistant to super-heated steam.
Physical properties are generally low but are at least retained at higher
temperatures. Gas permeability is very poor as is resistance to petroleum
based fluids. Silicone rubbers are expensive in comparison to most other
rubbers. Food Quality/FDA compliant grades are available for use in the
food and pharmaceutical industries.

    Love it!

I put this on the bottom of a rocker that I made so the plywood would not rot as easily as the first one I made several years ago. Glued it first, then stapled it.

    Red Siliconized Rubber

Works for what I am using it for (1972 FLH flasher module backer plate). Turns out this product is a little too flimsy for putting rivets into (squeezes easy and bends easy, if that makes sense). I would have chose "High" Hardness if I could do it all over again. The product is good for what it is, its just my loss for choosing the wrong hardness.

    Always Use a Rubber

My application was filling the gap and cushioning a built-in brick BBQ counter island from a stainless steel BBQ replacement. The dimensions were close, but the original unit was brick/cemented into place. Your silicon rubber strip worked perfectly and I have no fear of heat exposure to the rubber.

Silicone Rubber Strips 60A Medium Hardness

This was just what I needed to protect the stainless steel trim on the top of my range from getting scratched. Wish it came in a clear color. I ordered 1/32, but will order the 1/16 next time.
